“Edo Glass” is the traditional glass craftwork made by the skills which have been handed over at Edo area from Edo Period (Edo” is the old name of the present“ Tokyo”). Yachiyo Kiln is a masterpiece that inherits the manufacturing method of "Edo Glass", which has been designated as a traditional craft by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.
This product is a lustrous item created by craftsmen who wrap fine colored glass rods and gold leaf around transparent glass and blow air into it.The deep indigo color and gold leaf create a luxurious feel. The shapes and colors have a warmth that can only be achieved through handcrafting.

This is NOT heat-resistant glass. Please note that it may break due to sudden temperature changes (especially rapid cooling).

DO NOT use in microwave or ovens. Please be careful when washing the inside of the glass. Hand wash only.
